2018 (ninth) Global Automotive Forum opens in Handan

On June 5th, the 2018 (ninth) Global Automotive Forum was held at the Penang International Conference Center. Host plants, suppliers, distributor representatives and auto industry professionals from more than 10 countries and regions represented the automotive industry worldwide. There were lively discussions about the new changes and challenges faced.

This forum is sponsored by the Automotive Industry Committee of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade. It has set a total of more than 10 topics that are of great concern to the global and Chinese auto industries. At the forum on the same day, the participants focused on discussing innovations in the core technology, development model, and industry management of the automotive industry. They also agreed that the automobile is being upgraded to a complex integrating travel, entertainment, and intelligent experience. The relationship between car and society will fundamentally change. Automobiles are becoming the constructors of the new social ecology, and the auto industry will also usher in a new century of gold.

Wu Churong, member of the Standing Committee of the Municipal Party Committee and executive deputy mayor, attended the forum and stated that as the only municipality directly under the Central Government in western China and China’s largest automotive industry base, Chongqing is fully promoting the intelligent and green automotive industry by relying on a sound industrial foundation and a vast market hinterland.
