2013 Volkswagen Touareg Hybrid Review: A Powerful Hybrid Crossover
The 2013 VW Touareg Hybrid features a 24 valve 3 liter supercharged V6 engine that can be found in both the Audi Q7 and Porsche Cayenne. This 288 hp TSI engine is attached to a 47 hp electric motor to create a combined 380 hp and 428 lb/ft torque at full throttle.
The 2013 Touareg also features a 288V nickel-hydride metallic battery and a 26.4 gallon fuel tank, drivers should expect between 20 to 24 mpg around town. This is a pretty quick and nimble vehicle, considering it weighs over 5,000 lbs. This 4-door crossover comes standard with an 8-speed transmission equipped with Tiptronic, sport mode and a Dynamic Shift Program.
The 2013 Hybrid comes with a panoramic sunroof, keyless entry alongside a push button start mechanism and 12 way power adjustable seats that are heated, the seats in the back are heated as well. The steering wheel is heated and is equipped with multi-function accompanied by an innovative digital navigation monitor that also controls the vehicles features from the center console.
The 2013 VW Touareg comes with LED daytime running lights and tail lights along with Bi-Xenon headlights equipped with Adaptive Front-lighting System for safety and easy maneuverability. The car design is sleek and accented with chrome alongside body-colored door handles, bumpers and mirrors as well.
The Touareg Hybrid comes equipped with a Tire Pressure Monitor system and Park Distance Control accompanied by a rearview camera as well. The 2013 VW Touareg Hybrid features a unique all-wheel drive system alongside features like Hill Descent Assist, Anti-Slip regulation and several other innovations to make the crossover fun, safe and easy to drive in any condition.
These vehicles retail for around $62,000 and come with a complementary 3-month subscription to SiriusXM Radio. The 2013 VW Touareg Hybrid really has all of the bells, whistles and perks imaginable, no stone was left unturned. The mirrors can be dimmed and controlled with a joystick; it easily integrates with iTunes and has as many safety features as it does luxurious amenities.
